AIKIDO

I was thinking about something I could write on my blog and while I was looking for movies and all kind of stuff I didn't find anything I was interested to. So I thought maybe I can write something about myself and decided to write something about the sport I practise. My sport is a self defence sport were you learn how to defence yourself. We learn 17 basis techniques 'we call it Kotegaeshi' were you can do several things with. Aikido is a Japanese sport with a philosophy and religious beliefs in it. 
This is my 4th year of practise  aikido. I was asked with my sister to go to London for an international contest but unfortunately we are in vacation.

Hop till you drop - Tsiganisation Project

Tsiganisation project is a DJ duo from Antwerp who plays Balkan. They offer you a mix from tsigani-classics and unknown-ornaments. They mix all kinds of music like pitty polka, kinky kudoro, fresh folk, evil electro and stuff like that! 
These 2 guys you have to see them, they really are soo amazing! I saw them 3 times and each time the atmosphere is delightful and I wanted to stay for days! This duo entertains the crowd and does the crowd detonate. 
Balkan beats gets more and more popular in Belgium!

Lost

Lost is a fantastic serie where you really get addicted to, already after the first episode.
After a plane crash on a mysterious tropical island the survivors  live through different adventures, the serie works with flashbacks en flash forwards. You don't get all the answers like that, you have to look to the details if you want to understand the whole storie!
But it's not just a cliche serie.
I saw the first 5 seasons and it stays interesting and exciting. There are 2 more seasons to come and I really look forward to see them.
I saw all the 5 seasons in english without any dutch subtitles, sweat isn't it? :)

Glee is a musical comedy-drama. In my opinion it's a very funny and musically speaking program.
In my point of view the results aren't so impressive as they say. I think the number proposes less than they say because in the past there were no computers, no gsm's and sophisticated tv's like we have nowadays.  So my conviction ; you can't compare it with today.
But of course it's spectacular that they've so much success with their music and that they have won prizes and three top 10s and six top 20 under their belt.  Anyway, congratulations !!!

Slumdog Millionaire

This movie is really fantastic. For me it matches with the real life off a street child , because it's all so real in the movie. Here this story has a good end, that's probably the biggest difference with real life cases . 

I have seen this film for our movie project . Because there were no dutch subtitles available we had to see the movie with english subtitles and surprisingly everything went well, I understood almost everything.  This was  a challenge for me, and went well.

Balthazar - I'll stay here

Three months ago I went to a sort of festival in De Singel 'De nachten' where I first saw Balthazar.
It's a Belgian group who plays pop and rock. I first didn't know them but really liked the music so I bought a CD and started to become a real fan. This song I like the most because the lyrics are maybe a little depressing but I can understand how some artists or peoples sometimes feel.
In the group there is a girl who plays the electric violin.  That's also a reason why it means something to me because I too play the violin sinds I was 10 years old. It is a dream for me to play in a group like Balthazar and to make songs like "I'll stay here".
